Ben Burns
Ben Burns is a designer, entrepreneur, and author who has spent the last decade helping creative professionals thrive by building tools, companies, and communities designed just for them. He’s the cofounder of Maker Division, runs a design studio called Alden, and is building Watson: software for creative professionals.
As a designer and creative director, Ben’s client list includes DreamWorks, Paramount Pictures, AMC, TBS, Laika, Hyatt, Team USA, and dozens of exciting challenger brands across industries. His work has also helped early-stage startups grow into seven- and eight-figure companies.
Outside of work, Ben is a dad to three incredible kids, a woodworker who loves making things with his hands, an Eagle Scout, and a Tolkien nerd. He believes good design is built, not just imagined… and that creativity is a skill worth fighting for.
